Viviana Sofronitsky [Viviana Vladimirovna Sofronitskaya] (Russian: Вивиана Владимировна Софроницкая) is a Russian-born Canadian classical pianist. She was born in Moscow in 1960, her father was the noted Soviet-Russian pianist Vladimir Sofronitsky. She has followed in the footsteps of her father Vladimir Sofronitsky, a distinguished Russian pianist.
비비아나 소프로니츠키(비비아나 블라디미로프나 소프로니츠카야)는 러시아에서 출생한 캐나다의 클래식 피아니스트이다. 1960년 모스크바에서 출생했고, 그녀의 아버지는 유명한 피아니스트 블라디미르 소프로니츠키이다. 그녀는 뛰어난 러시아 피아니스트였던 아버지 블라디미르 소프로니츠키의 발자취를 따랐다.
She studied at the Central School of Music until 1979. She studied at the Moscow Conservatory as a pianist (Margarita Fedorova's class) and organist (class Natalia Gureeva-Vedernikova) from Semtepber 1979 to June 1989. After graduate school worked as a soloist-organist of the Belarusian Philharmonic in Polotsk. In Soviet Union, she worked as organist and harpsichordist in the ensemble of ancient music "Madrigal" led by Alexei Lubimov and the ensemble "The Academy of Ancient Music" directed by Alexei Lubimov and Tatiana Grindenko. At the same time she gave solo concerts in Moscow, Leningrad, Kiev, Minsk, Sverdlovsk, and so on.

In 1989, Sofronitsky moved to the United States, where she worked at the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music in Ohio. In 1990, she moved to Canada, where she pursued an active career in performance and recording in Toronto, partnered with various members of the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra. She was a founder and the first Artistic Director of the Academy Concert Series in Toronto. Sofronitsky has been a Canadian citizen since 1994.

In 1999 she received historical performance degrees in harpsichord, fortepiano and early music teaching from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.

Bach to Liszt. She is a creative director from 30 August 2001 in Prague. She moved to Divišov since September 2001.

Viviana has toured and performed all over the world with unique instruments, made her husband, Paul McNulty, on samples Stein 1788, 1792 by Walter, Graf 1819, Pleyel 1830. She performs on a two-manual harpsichord by Yves Beaupré, a Viennese fortepiano by F. Teller, and copies of fortepianos by Stein, Walter, Graf, Pleyel, and Boisselot. Her collection of top-quality new pianos includes Mozart's and Beethoven's favorites Walter and Stein, Schubert's Graf, Chopin's Pleyel and Liszt's Boisselot.

Viviana Sofronitsky explores the rich, complete world of sound available to classic and romantic composers with their then-new pianos! Viviana performs with two, three, four or five pianos on stage, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the music performed on instruments as strong and colourful as they were at the time when they inspired young classical and romantic composers to write their masterpieces. The pianos used in the performance are newly built "clones" of the favourite instruments of great composers, produced by the world's most prolific modern fortepiano maker, Paul McNulty. Her recent London Wigmore Hall performance with 5 pianos on stage was acclaimed a "revelation".
